GODEVAL

Bodegas Godeval se fundó en 1986 realizando una primera vinificación para elaborar un único vino monovarietal a base de uva de la variedad Godello.

La bodega ha ido ampliando sus plantaciones con el paso de los años pero siempre siguiendo la misma filosofía de buscar terrenos pizarrosos con pendientes y orientación sur . Los primeros fueron plantados entre los años 70 y 80 por los fundadores de la bodega, en las laderas con las pendientes más pronunciadas de la comarca en la zona de Xagoaza. La edad media de las cepas está por encima de los 15 años. Buena parte de los viñedos están orientados hacia el Sur, quedando así garantizada la insolación que conduce a una maduración perfecta. La inclinación del terreno y el suelo pizarroso garantizan una buena ventilación y salud de las uvas. De los primeros viñedos plantados en fincas como “Liebres” y “Pancho” se elaboran vinos con características muy especiales como el Godeval Cepas Vellas y el Godeval Revival.
