DR. Bürklin Wolf

Es una bodega que cultiva un centenar de hectáreas de viñedo propio, se ha caracterizado siempre por la búsqueda de la calidad en sus vinos, con una producción superior al las 500.000 botellas anuales.

Dr. Bürklin Wolf ha encabezado el movimiento por la recuperación de la clasificación de los viñedos según el modelo borgoñón de 'Grand cru' y '1er cru' hasta el punto de haber abandonado la clasificación según el pradikat, una escala que clasifica a los vinos en función del grado de azúcar que tengan las uvas al ser vendimiadas (desde los más ligeros Kabinett, los Spätlese, hasta los más potentes Auslese...) a favor del nombre de los pagos.

Dr. Bürklin Wolf se encuentra en un impresionante palacio perteneciente a la familia que la fundó en el año 1597, representada en la actualidad por Bettinna Bürklin y su marido Christian von Gurazde.

Siendo el respeto por el medio ambiente uno de los pilares de la filosofía de la casa, en los años 70 ya empezaron a interesarse por la agricultura ecológica hasta que descubren a Nicolas Joly y su “Biblia” de la biodinámica. En el año 2000 comienzan a poner en marcha sus prácticas en las 8 hectáreas que poseen en el pueblo de Ruppersberger y poco a poco van implantándolas en todos sus viñedos obteniendo la Certificación Biodinámica en 2008.
