Viñas de Vero

Es la primera bodega de la Denominación de Origen Somontano por su volumen y calidad de producción. La empresa cuenta con 700 hectáreas de viñedo propio y una capacidad de comercialización de 5 millones de botellas al año. Es una de las bodegas españolas más contemporáneas tanto por su tecnología como por el estilo de sus vinos.

Viñas del Vero debe su nombre a un río de la comarca del Somontano, al pie de los Pirineos, famoso por sus barrancos, gargantas y cañones. Viñas del Vero se establece en Somontano a finales de 1986 con la adquisición de 550 hectáreas de terreno en Barbastro y otras poblaciones cercanas. En 1987, la empresa había adquirido la finca “San Marcos” para la construcción de la nueva bodega, que se inauguraría en julio de 1993. En ella, se desarrolla todo el proceso de elaboración de los Viñas del Vero, desde la selección de la vendimia hasta la crianza y el embotellado. La bodega tiene una capacidad de 70.000 hectolitros y cuenta con 250 depósitos de acero inoxidable y 8.000 barricas de roble americano y francés.

Otras de distintas procedencias. Blancas: Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer. Tintas: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot y Pinot Noir.
