Bodegas Viña Ijalba

Fue fundada en el año 1975 por Dionisio Ruiz Ijalba. Una empresa joven, nacida en 1991, dedicada al cultivo del viñedo y de olivar (posee 80 y 15 ha. propias respectivamente), y a la elaboración y crianza de vinos de la Denominación de Origen Calificada Rioja.

Desde el nacimiento de VIÑA IJALBA se ha apostado por una estrategia empresarial de diferenciación basada en innovación, investigación, diferenciación y protección del medio ambiente.

Suelo

Los suelos son pobres, poco profundos y calizos, que obligan a la vid a reducir su vigor y su producción de uva, mejorando de esta manera su calidad.

Viñedo

Todo el viñedo, como originalidad está plantado sobre minas a cielo abierto abandonadas que se han recuperado desde un punto de vista medioambiental, habiéndose recibido varios premios nacionales y europeos por las restauraciones efectuadas.

Variedades de uva

Las tradicionales de Rioja, investigando en el desarrollo de variedades autóctonas minoritarias como Graciano, Maturana Tinta, etc.
